Seven Souls by Panos Chatzieleftheriou is a story about a man who has spent his whole life trying to stand out from the crowd and gain prestige and financial standing. In this effort, he rarely finds allies and often experiences betrayal by people he trusts.

The continuous blows of fate culminate in his health collapsing. But then he meets people who lead him to discover that he has never done what he desired. His actions have always been to impress and gain recognition from others. This compulsive behavior is a result of a traumatic childhood, where no matter what he achieved, his father never rewarded him and later did not trust him on critical issues of the family business.

Leaving behind the security the family business offered him, he works as a cook in Ios. Later, he worked as an insurance agent and rose to the top. He bought a radio station, and when he was financially ruined, he returned to Ios to rent a nightclub, starting from scratch. Later, he became a successful real estate agent but got carried away and spent all his savings to open a beer bar in Ios, a jewel for the island, and he was financially ruined once again. After his health collapsed, he decided to study holistic medicine, guided by coincidences. Day after day, he meets people who will lead him to self-discovery. Soon after, he will witness a revelation about humanity. Yes, Indeed; nothing is as it seems!

This book is exciting because it introduces us to a real world full of action and adventure. It's easy to understand and has interesting characters who teach us extraordinary things about relationships. The story keeps us hooked from start to finish, and I couldn't wait to find out what happens next. The suspense was my favorite element in this book.

The author also analyzes the causes that lead the hero to self-destruction and goes into depth, showing that he is an excellent connoisseur of the human soul.

Seven Souls caught my attention, as the first volume is a bestseller in Greece after being published in two volumes in the author's country. The writing of Panos Chatzieleftheriou captivated me so much that even though I know little Greek, I read it a second time with the help of the translation and in the two languages. I tried to find a flaw because something must always be there, but I couldn't find anything.

Therefore, I give Seven Souls five stars without a second thought and highly recommend it. I look forward eagerly to his next book.
